The Course:
This course is for anybody currently serving or likely to serve on a committee, or for anyone with an interest in acquiring effective committee skills.
A well chaired and disciplined committee uses the time of busy people in an effective way to govern an organisation, or oversee a project. This one-day course is built around the role and conduct of the Chair, the implementation of appropriate committee conduct and the roles and responsibilities of committee members. By the end of the course, participants will understand how a committee works, be able to recognise the different styles that Chairs adopt to manage a committee and have the ability and knowledge required to become an effective committee member.
