Accord successfully bid for funding under the Government’s Estate Regeneration Fund in order to undertake a Feasibility Study into how the Clent Way Estate in Birmingham could be improved. Accord have been engaging with and working closely with residents to develop a comprehensive strategy for the regeneration of the Estate. Supported by the Planning For Real Unit, through consultation activities and follow up workshops, Accord have been looking at heating systems, roofs, the appearance of external and internal communal areas and how parking issues can be resolved, as well as the opportunity to create more homes within the estate. An exhibition was held in a void flat on the estate to show residents how the regeneration plans were shaping up based on their initial views and the input they have made through follow up Workshops. The plans received strong support from the residents.
